About Phisher of Men
Jesus called His disciples to fish for people, to pull them from dark water into light. We carry that same call into the digital space, where phishing lures are cast by the thousand.
Phishing emails are lures dressed to look alive, aimed at the trust of people who have no reason to suspect the bait. Phisher of Men teaches everyday people to read the line, spot the hook, and net the deception before it lands. Our free Practice Lab walks you through synthetic phishing emails across four complexity tiers: from clumsy spoofs that thrash on the surface to expert forgeries that drift with the current. In-person teaching brings a live, human session to your church, nonprofit, school, or team, so your community leaves able to recognize the lie before the damage is done.
This is for the digitally vulnerable: the faithful, the elderly, the small staffs, the volunteers — anyone who handles email and wants to recognize a phishing attempt. Though we are called Phisher of Men, the call is for everyone — men and women, young and old, at any stage of life. The nets are wide enough for all. No jargon, no judgment, no account required. Faith was never meant to be kept secret, and neither should the knowledge that keeps people safe.
Phisher of Men is currently a one-person initiative, driven by faith and the belief that discernment is a gift meant to be shared freely. It is sustained by volunteering and the generosity of those who give their time and resources. Monetary gifts are split two ways: first to run the program itself and keep this site online and freely accessible, and every dollar beyond that is given to bereavement funds helping people in need. None of it goes to us. We hope to eventually reach the status of being registered as a non-profit.
